A big thanks to everyone that joined us on our inaugural Coast to Coast trip on the 20th of November. 10 awesome adventurers made the journey from the West Coast to the East Coast with our guides Pete and Steve.

The Coast to Coast trip was outstanding - both challenging and rewarding. The organisation, itinerary, equipment and leadership by our guides was superb.

What was the most memorable part of your trip?

Getting over Goat Pass in some inclement weather, and arriving in New Brighton.

What advice would you give another traveller who is interested in booking this trip?

The Goat Pass trek is long and very challenging, and you need to have good wet weather gear and lots of good, warm clothing.

We wanted a challenge and this satisfied our need- along with great views, excellent guides and a great group of people, who, to our surprise and relief, were mostly a similar age to ourselves! Adventure South took care of all the gear transfers, so we only had to worry about what we needed each day. Accommodation was excellent, and days were very full!

What was the most memorable part of your trip?

I loved Goat Pass - this was physically challenging, and covered varied terrain - scenic, and also learnt a new skill - river crossings. This skill was well cemented well after countless crossings that day!

What advice would you give another traveller who is interested in booking this trip?

Trail shoes with good traction on the soles were a good choice for Goat Pass. Bring lots of spare polyprops-top and bottom layers, and spare gloves etc for when you get to Goat Pass Hut - it will be cold. Wear extra polypropylene payers for rafting too.

Great trip - probably a once in the lifetime for us. Pete and Steve, our guides were amazing and very encouraging when the going got tough on Goat Pass. Probably the only negative was the time spent on the raft - but I guess that's the Coast to Coast. All in all a very physical, tiring and amazing trip. The organisation of the trip was extremely good, accommodation and food again very good. Thanks so much.

What was the most memorable part of your trip?

Completing it! The tramp over Goat Pass - scrambling over rocks, across rivers and walking/hiking through amazing scenery.

What advice would you give another traveller who is interested in booking this trip?

Do lots of up and down hill hiking before you go and use an e-bike. They still require you to work but make the trip that much more enjoyable.
